GCSE and A level support sessions

Our GCSE and A level support sessions will allow students to  develop their coursework and exam portfolios within a specially designed studio space. They will have access to a wide range of specialist materials and we will support them to understand processes and how to develop and refine their work.
We are highly experienced teachers of AQA and Edexcel specifications and Louise has been a GCSE moderator for 4 years. We both understand what is required to achieve highly at exam level and are very knowledgable in contemporary art practice. Students under our guidance have consistently been awarded at the very highest level and many have continued to further their art education at some of the top London art colleges.
Additionally, we have considerable experience in supporting students to build portfolios and successfully apply for Art Foundation and degree courses.

Our workshops

We will use the workshop time to review and refine student's existing work, make suggestions about how to develop ideas and themes in projects, suggest artists to research, analyse and respond to, experiment with media and techniques and make outcomes. Sessions will be delivered in small groups and tasks will be adapted to support individuals and play to their strengths. There will be emphasis on guided and supported independent work.

The GCSE and A level support session will run after school on a Wednesday from 3.45-5.30 (1 hr 45 mins)

If you would like a targeted 1:1 session please get in touch.

Costs and booking procedure

We ask for half term block bookings. Workshops are priced at £22.50 per session and there are 2 free spaces available in each workshop for children entitled to free school meals.

To book, please go to the bookings tab.

We are in the process of applying for funding to further subsidise our workshops and hope to be able to reduce prices in the future.
