Reduction Lino Printing (3 week course)

Tuesday 16th December, Tuesday 6th January, Tuesday 13th January
7 - 8:30pm
The 3 dates for these sessions will be Tuesday 16th December and then we will have a break over Christmas and will continue in the new year on Tuesday 6th Jan and Tuesday 13th Jan.
Come and learn the process of reduction lino pinting which will allow you to make a unique 2 colour print to take home with you. You can provide us with a photograph in advance that you would like to work from, use an image provided and create a drawing from your imagination on the day.
In the first session you will learn about the process of Lino print. You will then draw your design on to the lino and use specialist tools to make your fist cut.
The second session will be printing your first colour. You will learn about using registration and will print several copies of your print using our press.
The third session will be your second cut and second colour print to complete your reduction lino.
All equipment provided and you will be able to take your finished prints home with you.

Still Life Photography (1.5 hours)

Thursday 27th November 2025

Learn about lenses and lighting.
We will work in the studio and discuss lenses, lighting and compositional elements involved in still life photography.


We will look at a selection of contemporary photographers for contextual understanding and inspiration.

Christmas workshop:
Make your own tree decorations

​Wednesday 10th December 2025
7 - 8:30pm
In this workshop, you will be given the opportunity to make 2 tree decorations. A hand-stitched embellished felt decoration and an upcycled bauble.
You will be shown various examples and techniques and offered templates to work from, or you can design your own from your imagination.
You will then get 2 personal handmade decorations to take home and put on your tree!

Christmas workshop:
​Block print your own Christmas cards

Tuesday 2nd December 2025
7 - 8:30pm
Come and join this Christmas evening workshop to learn how to design and cut your own rubber block stamp which you will print on to blank greetings cards.
You will learn basic lino cutting techniques and will have the option of using a template or your imagination to design your own unique block.
We will use a print press to print your cards using Caligo oil based washable ink.
You will get to take home your printed cards and your rubber stamp which you could use again to print cards or gift wrap for the festive season.

Macro Photography (1.5 hours)

Learn about extreme lenses and macro photography.
We will work in the studio and discuss principles of macro photography.

We will experiment with processes and photograph a range of subject matter.

Christmas workshop:
Make a creative Christmas wreath

​Tuesday 9th December 2025
7 - 8:30pm
In this workshop, you will learn how to make your own unique Christmas wreath using sustainable materials.
The wreath frame will be pre-handwoven from willow, hazel and other natural withies allowing you to re-use the frame in future years.
Other materials provided will be sustainably sourced foliage and recycled or repurposed decorative pieces.

Long Exposure Photography (1.5 hours)

Thursday 18th December 2025
7 - 8:30pm
Learn about shutter speeds and long exposure photography.
We will firstly work in the studio and discuss principles of long exposure photography and do test shooting.


We will look at a selection of contemporary photographers for contextual understanding and inspiration.

We will then work outside in the local area to create long exposure / light painting responses.

Oil Painting (6 week course)

Starts 20th Jan 2026
In this course you will explore portraiture through drawing, learning about proportion and shape. You will then utilise these skills to paint an oil painting portrait on canvas from a photograph that you provide. 
There will be a session on colour mixing and paint application and we will go through the stages of painting to enable you to produce a successful portrait to take home.

*If you are struggling to commit to all 6 sessions, email us at [email protected] for advice about which sessions would work chronologically and we can make amendments to the booking system so you only pay for these sessions.

All materials will be provided.. Tuesday evenings 7-8.30pm
